reimagined dining.
Shared Table. Community Space. Eclectic Events.
THE roots
“Several years ago I was inspired by a dear friend to chase my long time dream of being a chef. What started as pop-up dinners in back yards turned into an actual brick-and-mortar space, named after my home town, Millport NY (population 200).
Opening in such unusual times gave me the unique opportunity to do things differently. To think out of the box. To make my own rules.
Over the last 6 years I have slowly cultivated this thing into a new business model for a new age of dining:
Weathering the fragility of post-covid & family restaurant life with my kind of food; plentiful & rustic.
A new culture: respecting life balance and finding creative ways to be profitable in a time when it is nearly impossible.
We believe in family, community & caring for our planet… All while honoring the memory of my late friend Susan.
With fierce values and abundant ambition, I am proud as hell of how we have survived & thrived.
Millport is home. Welcome home!”

cafÉ/market
For several years before the corner of 13th & Donax was Millport, it was a breakfast spot loved by many. We knew we had to offer something special for those long-time patrons.
For 6 years we grinding out millions of espresso shots and fried eggs. In late 2025, we realized we needed to find a more sustainable and less traditional business model. Brunch is damn hard on the body and I’m not getting any younger. So, we have made the decided to shut down Millport’s weekend brunch.
This is not because of failure. We are busier than we have ever been! I am happy to be shutting it down on a high.
Our last day of service will be September 20th, followed by a farewell party that same day at 4pm.
We are actively searching for the right person(s) to bring something new to our space on the weekends. If you know someone, send them our way.
bakery
When we opened Millport we never imagined becoming a go-to spot for gluten free pastries, but here we are!
A few years ago Chef Alynn turned to a gluten free lifestyle. It didn’t take long to realize that dining out is scary. The options are limited and forget finding baked goods that aren’t like cardboard. We saw an opportunity.
Emmi, baker & co-owner of Millport, went on a mission to create amazing pastries that no one would recognize as gluten free. And so, our pastry counter became filled with huge chewy cookies, moist bundt cakes and s”crumb”diddlyumptious cakes.
We will still be taking custom orders for pastries, cakes and bread. See our bakery page for more details.
